SDIP
Sistem Digital Inspektorat & Perundangan
Contributed to a secure PDF generation feature that combines hidden-data techniques with cryptographic mechanisms, alongside dashboard improvements and automated browser testing.
Simplified feature overview
PDF generation
A generated document is processed by the security feature.
Encryption & hidden data
AES-256 and steganography are used; hidden data is placed in PDF metadata and streams.
Integrity check
SHA-256 hashes are compared to help detect document changes.
Conceptual overview only; it does not specify the exact internal processing order or key-management design.
What I worked on
PDF security
- • Developed the secure PDF generation feature.
- • Used steganography, AES-256, and SHA-256.
- • Added hash comparison to help identify tampering.
Application & QA
- • Revamped the dashboard with graphs and visualisations.
- • Added requested features and fixed bugs.
- • Manually tested functionality and reported defects.
- • Used Laravel Dusk for browser tests across KKM, JKN, PKD, and officer roles in development.
Technical note
AES-256 is an encryption algorithm; SHA-256 is a hash function. Hash comparison can help reveal changes when the reference hash and comparison process are trustworthy. This case study does not claim that the feature prevents all tampering.
